About

First of all, thank you very much for visiting my website. I'm Santiago Rodriguez and I'm a 23 -year old from Spain currently based in Berlin studying for a B.Sc. in Physics at Humboldt University and working in addition as an assistant scientist at a research group for medical magnetometry in the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt. Previously I was also employed as an assistant programmer at a radiological research group in the Charite University Hospital of Berlin.

This personal website is mainly dedicated to my astrophotographic as well as astrophysical activities I still engage with at an enthusiast level. I've always had a passion for astronomy and astrophysics, which is what originally drove me to study physics before I became interested in its more medical applications. Currently I've changed my main focus and I've been aiming to specialize in nuclear medicine during my masters as I found that I also wanted to be able to help people with my research.

Beside my professional activities, I like to read a lot during my free time and do conventional photography both for myself and various organizations I volunteer at. I also cycle quite a bit both for my daily commute as well as occasional trekking tours and go swimming on an occasional basis. On a civilian basis, I also help out at a non-governmental organization for political education called DMUN e.V. on occasions and am a board member at my local chapter of the german Green party -where I am also a delegate at various political conferences and I engage myself for climate action. Finally, I am a member as well at the German Physics Society.

If you are interested in contacting me, I have both a LinkedIn account as well as a GitHub page on which I also keep tabs regularly. Alternatively, you can also send me an E-Mail directly by clicking here or check out my Curriculum Vitae for professional inquieries.
