The ISQD group
The ISQD group is a research group of HU Berlin and partner
institutions in Berlin and Potsdam, such as the German
Meteorological Office (DWD). At HU, the group is embedded in
the finance group. It adds to the group's
resarch on risk management, financial intermediation and
primary markets. ISQD is an acronym for Impacts & Imperfections. The ISQD group works on projects concerning effects of financial market imperfections and market incompleteness. We analyze how these features of the financial system modulate the economic impacts of climate change and macro trends. These analyses typically concern problems of risk management and insurance needs of firms, households and governments.
HU's ISQD team consists of: Simon Baumgartner, Jakob Conradi, Peter Paul Dimke and Nils Timmermann.
Alumni of the ISQD group and my chair at HU Berlin:
Juliusz Radwanski, now at Deutsche Bank in Berlin.
Michael Zierhut, now at Kobe University in Japan.
