Welcome to the Nanooptik AG
We’re excited to welcome Michel Herre to the group as a bachelor student and to work with him on his first research experience. 13.04.2026
It's great to have Steven Szobries join our research group as a bachelor student, and we're excited to work with them on their first steps in research. 23.03.2026
We are excited to be part of the new BMFTR-funded project “Technologien und Demonstratoren für Quantenrepeater (TD.QR).” The project aims to advance key technologies and demonstrators for quantum repeaters, which are essential for building long-distance quantum communication networks. You can find more information in the official press release here.
It's great to have Elias Rahner join our research group as a bachelor student, and we're excited to work with them on their first steps in research.
We’re pleased to share that our paper, “Light storage in light cages: a scalable platform for multiplexed quantum memories,” has been published. In this work, we investigate how quantum information can be stored and retrieved using a light cage as a scalable platform for multiplexed quantum memories. More details can be found in the paper here.
Welcome to our research group! We're glad to have you here and hope you'll get some good experience during your internship.
On December 11th, our Christmas event took us to the fusion reactor in Greifswald. After a very informative tour by Prof. Thomas Klinger, we enjoyed a walk through the beautiful city center and a visit to the Christmas market.
We had a visiting delegation from the Japan Science and Technology Agency(JST) in our labs.
Jasper Glindemann started a PhD project with us. Welcome!
Physics World published an article about our paper.
Timo Prange started a Bachelor project with us. Welcome!
Ekaterina Bloshchitcyna started a student internship with us. Welcome!
Our paper „Approaching unity photon collection from NV centers via ultra-precise positioning of nanodiamonds in hybrid nanoantennas" , Boaz Lubotzky; Hamza Abudayyeh; Niko Nikolay; Oliver Benson; Ronen Rapaport, was just published in APL Quantum. https://doi.org/10.1063/5.0272913
