ARC brings together researchers and practitioners of reconfigurable computing with an emphasis on practical applications — from high-level compilation and design-space exploration to fine-grained fabrics and safety-critical systems.
Reconfigurable computing technologies promise substantial performance gains over traditional architectures by customizing, even at runtime, the topology of the underlying architecture to match the needs of a given application. Contemporary configurable architectures allow functional and storage units to be matched in function, bit-width, and control structure to the specific needs of a computation. The flexibility enabled by reconfiguration is also a key technique for overcoming transient failures in emerging device structures.
ARC 2027 will feature a series of international invited speakers sharing their view on the future of reconfigurable technology.
Authors are invited to submit original contributions in English, including but not limited to the areas of interest listed below. Submissions must be uploaded to the ARC website, identifying the format of the contribution as either:
14 pages maximum. Mainly accomplished results, presented orally.
8 pages maximum (or 10, with a 50 EUR/page surcharge). Work in progress or recent developments, presented as a poster.
ARC 2027 proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag as a Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) volume, also available via SpringerLink. Selected papers will additionally be invited for a special issue of ACM Transactions on Reconfigurable Technology and Systems (TRETS).
ARC 2027 is hosted by the Computer Engineering Group at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The symposium takes place in the Festsaal — the university's historic ceremonial hall — at the Humboldt Graduate School, within walking distance of the Brandenburg Gate.
