Bis zu seiner Emeritierung zum 1.10.2001 war Prof. Wollmann Hochschullehrer für Verwaltungslehre am Institut für Sozialwissenschaft an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Er ist mit dem Institut für Sozialwissenschaft der HU weiterhin verbunden und arbeitet und publiziert zu den folgenden Schwerpunkten:
- Modernisierung des Öffentlichen Sektors in Deutschland und im internationalen Vergleich,
- Institutionelle Transformation in Mittel-Ost-Europa, einschließlich Russland,
- Lokalpolitik und -verwaltung in Deutschland und im internationalen Vergleich,
- Evaluierungsforschung.

Welcome to the website of Professor (emeritus) Dr. jur. Hellmut Wollmann.
Until his retirement in October 2001 he was professor of public administration at Social Science Institute of Humboldt-Universitaet/Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
He continues to be connected with the Social Science Institute of Humboldt University and continues to work and publish mainly in the following fields:
- Modernisation of the public sector in Germany and in international comparison,
- institututional transformation in CEE countries, including Russia,
- local politics and government in Germany and in international comparison,
- evaluation research.
