Welcome to my homepage!

I am professor of financial economics at Berlin's HUmboldt University and a founding member of the European Corporate Governance Institute.

Past affiliations: University of Vienna, where I received my Habilitation in 2007. From 2007 to 2011, I taught at MIT's Sloan School and at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, from where I co-founded the Vienna Graduate School of Finance. Fellowships at Vanderbilt University's Financial Markets Research Centre (2011) and at Goethe University's Center on the Foundations of Law and Finance (since 2024).
