In June 2019 Prof. Schwartz presented an on-line video
"Herd growth and Population Development in Camels
(Camelus dromedarius - A Neglected Research Agenda?"
at the National Camel Conference, Faisalabad, Pakistan.
In June 2018 Prof. Schwartz participated in a research evaluation meeting
of EU-PRIMA Foundation in Barcelona, Spain.
In September 2016 Prof. Schwartz attended "Tropentag 2016" in
Vienna, Austria and gave an oral presentation
"Ninety Years of
Pastoralists Land Use Change - A case study from Northern Kenya"
and presented one poster
"Herd Growth and Population Development in Camels (Camelus dromedarius) -

In May 2015 Prof. Schwartz attended the Camel Conference at SOAS, School of
Oriental and African Studies, University of London,
UK and gave an oral presentation
"The Representation of the Camel
in Western Visual Arts over 2000 Years".
In September 2014 Prof. Schwartz attended "Tropentag 2014" in
Prague,
Czech Republic, gave an oral presentation
"An agro-silvo-pastoral production system in Brazil"
and presented two posters
"Integrated crop-livestock-forestry systems: A Brazilian experience for sustainable
farming" and
"Environmental efficiency indexes for cattle improvement".
In December 2013 Prof. Schwartz attended the " International Camel Conference-2013"
at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
He gave a presentation "Global
development of camel populations, production systems, and systems productivity".
His participation was sponsored by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
In September 2012 Prof. Schwartz attended "Deutscher Tropentag 2012" in
Göttingen, Germany and presented a poster
"Different environmental indicators lead to conflicting impact assessments: the example
of South American beef production".
In February 2012 Prof. Schwartz attended the 3rd Conference of the International Society
of Camelid Research and Development in Muskat, Oman. He
gave a presentation
"Feeding preferences of
one-humped camels (Camelus dromedarius) on a semi-arid thorn bush savannah in
East Africa - adaptive advantages in view of increasing aridity of the environment".
