Die Spannung steigt: In der Nacht auf Montag soll der Marslander Phoenix in der Nordpolarregion des roten Planeten aufsetzen. Der Eintritt in die Atmosphäre des Mars, das Abbremsen der Sonde und die Landung stellen den gefährlichsten Teil der gesamten Mission dar. Viele Landemissionen gingen in dieser Phase bereits verloren.
