Danny Dorfman:
"The whole idea of the contest is awesome! A real battle of the minds :)
As for the picture, I liked the zoom-out technique. Really conveys the notion of being "fast"!"
Antje Scheidler:
langweilig... ;) Good stuff!"
Barbara "Babsi" Lemsch:
Ariane:
"Ich habe mich fuer Christophs Bild entschieden, weil
die Idee mal etwas Anderes ist. Normalerweis denkt man
besser gefaellt, ueberwiegt einfach Christophs witzige
Idee."
Maike Vatheuer:
Robert Edwards:
"I liked all of the pictures very much. Although Matthias' picture was my favorite in this contest, I think I would have voted
for Christoph's IF he would have put that
woman from previous contests' pics in his
picture here since she certainly looks like
dumb, fast food to me!"
Christian R. Ahlin:
"Christoph's idea was outstanding, but the photograph itself didn't portray as much as would be hoped for."
Thomas Naugle:
"It was actually a toss-up between Carsten and Christoph. With Christoph's, I loved the movement, circular motion, the blueish tones, and of coarse the humor. The composition in Carsten's was very dynamic. I admired the fact that he slowed down to use the "spot" flashing is technique. The indsutrial feel of the machine strikes me because that looks like the most unapealling machinized food regurgitator I've ever seen."
Richard Bingham:
"...Marek was the only other photographer to try a bit of
originality and would have had my second vote if we could award second
places!"
Martin Cooley:
"...Christoph's was unexpected when one thinks of Fast Food. The visual effects were very well done, a definite sense of moving quickly (run, chicken, run!). The axe is also symbolic of what happens to our body when we eat fast food (like burgers and fries)."
Tom Poplawski:
"In my humble opinion, only two of the five pictures tell stories: Christoph's and Marek's. I like Christop's joke, but I like even better the dynamic composition of Marek's picture. And how smart it was to make it all in red, the favorite color of those fast food joints!
Ralph, are you trying to get a job as a commercial photographer for the Allmighty McDonald's?"
Patrick Sobalvarro:
"I think most of the photographs are very professional, in the sense of good production values and reasonably good composition, but most of the ideas are flat and uninteresting. Ralf's picture seems intended to show only an example of fast food against a neutral background; Matthias' time idea is cliched and conflicts with my own experience of fast food -- he seems to think of fast food as food that one cannot eat slowly, whereas I typically pick up fast food when I am driving a long distance and want to eat while I drive. I liked Carsten's picture somewhat, but the idea of imprisoned candy seems a bit off-topic; the exposure of the candy machine too bright, and the background too clipped for my taste. Marek's photograph looked like it might have been intended to advertise fast food burgers to teen-agers, which is fine, but I am not a teen-ager so I find the concept uninteresting. I chose Christoph's photograph as my favorite because it was humorous -- it made me laugh out loud -- and a good pun on fast food."
Jeroen Aarts:
"I think it's great such a reunion of people on the internet who know each other from the past.
It's great people try to raise their performace this way and share the results to people all over the world."
Anuar Amangulof:
"In fact I was seriously impressed by photoes of German guys. The topic of fast food, to be francly, is not very exciting but works are really proffesional."
Lennart Huizing:
"Some fine pictures. The idea of fast food was best captured by Matthias, though. I like the time element, but the best thing about the content of the picture, I think is the garbage that fast food always seems to attract. The colors were hateful. Good."
Erwin Lubberding:
"The photo of Marek gives a real good feeling on eating in the fast world. Run and bite... Before you're eaten by the competitor."
Jeff Carey:
"Christoph gets my vote for an unexpected and humorous approach to the subject! "Fast" food! Ha!!!"
